About Your Therapist, Beverley Lever - Founder & Director, Cognitive Therapy Works
Beverley is an experienced and dedicated counsellor. Whilst she integrates other models of psychotherapy into her work, the core theoretical base of her approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - combined with general holistic healthcare, life coaching and nutritional guidance. She also has a considerable business background, having worked as a Management Consultant for a number of years.
Beverley believes that the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is central to creating a trusting, professional and confidential environment, where the client feels safe to explore feelings and emotions. She uses a series of questioning techniques to undo negative conditioning and teaches the necessary skills to build positive beliefs and create the circumstances people want, to put them back in charge of their lives.
Since gaining a degree in Philosophy in 1996 Beverley has added the following further qualifications:
- Post Graduate Certificate of Education
- Advanced Counselling Diploma
- Professional Stress Management [Managing Stress in the Workplace]
